Day 2 - Tung Chung, Central - Lan Kwai Fong
After a good night's rest, we made our way to another part of HK, Lantau Island.
Took the train to Tung Chung...
That's when I thought "Hey! We should alight at Sunny Bay and I'll bring NB for a ride on Disney train!"
Since there's no need to pay extra, we quickly dropped and transferred to the Disney Train!
Ta Dah!!
My favourite train!!
Disney MTR train...
Japan's one isn't even this pretty!
I was here 3 years back!
How nostalgic...
Us with the mickey heads
Waited for a few trains to come and go before we got this shot...
Too many ppl alighting...
Then, we decided to leave...
Not much peeps on board cuz it's still early!
Simply dig the comfy seats!!
Pretty pretty bronze statues =D
Damn sweet... Didn't manage to take pic with Tinkerbell :(
We like the train =)
Moving on, we went over to Tung Chung for our cable car ride!
Going up to the Cable Car Station
And we thought...
Hey... No much people what...
Boy were we wrong...
There was a huge crowd...
Guess it can't be helped since we went on a Saturday...

Our Tickets and the board... LOL
No 45...
We saw and took pics of a lot of numbers in HK...
Didn't try buying TOTO though...
=X

High and above...
Our View from up above...
It's really pretty scary to be traveling above water...
Especially when the cabin sways to the direction of the howling wind.
Hong Kong International Airport
Check out the trail...
I can't imagine how those hikers manage their way up...
It's really IMPOSSIBLE loh!!
Approaching out destination~
Check out the blurred Buddha (Caused by the cable car's dirty window)
Ngong Ping Village...
This place was still under construction the last time I came...
Now, it has became one of the main tourist area...
NB met his good friend!
Guess wad, just as we left, this cow's ding dong ahem ahem la!
Wah lao...
Luckily didn't kena sore eyes!
Buddha buddha!
The wind was damn strong...
The only good thing my fats ever did for me is to keep me for being blown away...
Proceed to the monastery for our lunch..
and had a stroll to the wisdom path...
I think this is where they like to film those olden days martial arts show...
Looks familiar right??
Bo luo bo luo mi!!!
I thought this was a place where people come to seek for wisdom.. LOL
This place, as I read, is a dedication to the Heart Sutra (The Perfection of the Wisdom of the Buddha)
This, a prayer, very much regarded by Taoist and Buddhists alike.
Interestingly, the bamboo tiles are placed in a shape of the number "8" which means "infinity"
I actually like this place...
Unexplainable sense of serenity...
Reminds me of those scenic views when traveling around China...
Back to where we came from...
Bus 23 from Tung Chung to Ngong Ping and back~
Figured it's a more cost effective and time saving way to take cable up and bus back to the bottom - Tung Chung :)
Those who've been to HK would have learnt about City Gate Shopping Centre (with all the outlet stores)
We didn't wanna give this a miss and thus, we spent the remaining of the afternoon shopping.
:)
And then, we were back to HK Island, Central.
The lights of Hong Kong...
Lovely huh?
Taking the open top bus to the Peak Tram station
There were tons of people :(
The queue was so long, it ended at the roadside.
So NB decided to give this a miss...
Kindna wasted as I thought NB could have tried the tram going 45degs... (damn steep la!)
Better luck next time! (if ever)
Eh.. ok la.. not exactly dazzling.. LOL
Not much people around... Not late enough?
Not much people around... Not late enough?
Remember? We had our dinner at Wellington Street...
Showed NB the typical HK Serial stairways...
:)
After dinner, returned to our hotel~
The damn eerie looking lift...
Adding to the "eerie" feel...
We are at the ground floor but there's no "up" button...
Well, the logic behind the "down" button is that by pressing that button, you want the lift to literally come down...
Hmmm =/
Us, in the tiny, squeezy lift
Check out the old school buttons
If you take a closer look...
There's no buttons to open and close the door...
LOL
NB and I got separated on our 1st day cuz of this door!!
NB went in first but could hold the door cuz there's no button!
And I was stranded on the eerie first floor... (you know how creepy HK building's interior looks)
Still, it was quite an experience!
Didn't have any problem after that though :)
And so...
Our 2nd day ended, looking forward to the next day! :)
