sPERTHacular Australia trip: 12-15 December 2013 Day 4

Day 4 of our sPERTHacular Australia trip: 15 December 2013

Our final day in Perth and thought to have a good meal before we head back home.
Read through urbanspoon site to find a recommended place around the area.
Walked through the northbridge area in search for this much raved brunch outlet called Tuckshop Cafe.
True enough, there was hardly anybody on the streets in the morning and when we reached the place, it was full and we had to wait about 10 - 15 mins for a table indoors for two.

Unit 1/180 Newcastle Street,
Perth, Western Australia 6000

People here for their Sunday #brunch

Our kind of breakfast! #pancakes #yum

Our sinful iced chocolate with a scoop of vanilla ice cream #icechocolate #icecream
More like a milkshake!
Cost AUD6.50

Another yummilicious dish is their mixed berries #pancakes with maple syrup and vanilla mascarpone. Lots of blueberries and raspberries were used with the flour mix to produce these fluffy round flat cakes.
Haven't tried mascarpone with pancakes and this is one good combi! This chilled light cheesy cream spread on a warm fluffy pancake melted our hearts!
NB finished off the cream.
Cost: AUD16.50

Yummy white wine chicken pie. Each pie is at AUD12.50 and their speciality pies are what's famous. Good thing is it comes with their sauce so the pie doesn't come out to be too dry and the chicken filling is indeed generous.
We finished the crust before the filling!

After our hearty breakfast, made our way to the city area to do some last minute shopping.
Managed to get some dresses and a top there for less than AUD16 each! #notbad

Asked the way to any nearby supermarket and was directed to Woolworths for our grocery shopping! #love

Stocked up on the snacks and gifts while keeping in mind that we only can carry 7kg handheld luggage. #restricted #shopping :(
Nevertheless, noticed that their yogurts were very cheap! Couldn't help getting a tub to share! This tub of gourmet yogurt (peach and passionfruit) cost us just AUD4! Definitely double the price for the same thing here at cold storage! #value

Rest for a while at home before we checked out and stopped by Hungry Jacks for the last time.

Had intended to get another frozen coke but realised they ran out of it. Everyone was #perpetuallythirsty. So got ourselves another penny pincher deal - large chocolate sundae for AUD2. Big cup with super thick chocolate fudge. #likefree
Mc's sundae still taste better.

Boarded bus 37 along William street back to Perth airport. Got our boarding pass and pop by a fast food joint to get our late lunch. Not much choices so we settled for Red Rooster and depleted all our coins! #justnice

So happy that the grilled whole chicken turned out soft, tender and really juicy! Their chicken also had those herb stuffing you get in Christmas turkeys. Added to the flavour! #yum
Chicken nuggets, however, were not worth mentioning.
Cost AUD14.90 good enough for 3 pax!

A shot of scootilicious before we board. #scoot bad thing about the airport, no wifi. =( could only make use of those free Internet kiosk. #whylikethat

The return flight had many more passengers and our seats were upgraded to those with lots of leg space! Yea! Still, couldn't sleep well on the flight even with the new travel pillow. Europe how ah?
=(

Anyway, that's all for our Perth trip, more spectacular Australia coming in the next year ya! :)
