South Africa Adventure 10 - 13 July 2010 - Day 3

12 July 2010

We had a most memorable night last evening catching the finals live and the next 2 days were free and easy for us.

Going with theh Africa, we know for sure we just had to visit the safari but we didn't know or dared to travel on our own. So got the contacts from the hotel for a local tour group and together with the other Sony winners in the hotel, we booked a day tour to visit an enclosed safari.

Unfortunately,  it wasn't what we expected of the vast open bared land where lion and hyenas roamed around freely. From what we understand, the actual safaris are very far from the place we were at and it would definitely be more expensive.

Nevertheless, we looked forward to the day tour and patiently waited for the tour van to pick us up after our breakfast.

The van brought us to this place that felt more like a zoo except that the animals had a bigger area to roam about. Thankfully, we managed to get upclose with the animals though separated by a wired fence.

Our first friend.
First time being this close to a orang utan. Was surprised how similar they are to humans, their huge palms just like that of a man.

Love the humour while warning the public!

Our main objobjective

Love this shot of the leopard.
