Life in SH isn't that bad but there's many many reasons behind my decision.

Haven't broken the news to boss yet...

Had to make a choice out of 2 offers today...

Had a sleepless night yesterday thinking bout the situation I'm in...

Choice 1 - Banking

Job scope: Wasn't what I expected during the interview but later clarified with HR...

Should I trust them? Might not be as interesting as choice 2.

Money: Higher expectation since it's a bank... but oh well...

No diff from current pay... *sulk*

Post: New opening, thus contract

Benefits: Thou under contract, but with full benefits etc unlike SH...

room for pay review, conversion to perm

Working Hours: Long... Roadshows etc will suck up my weekends

Boss: Seems a little fierce... =/

Colleagues: Haven't met them of course but most are quite young too I think

Prospects: Good? Probably can hop to other banks

Choice 2 - Retail

Job Scope: Interesting, what I've been looking for.

Money: Same as SH... =/

Post: Perm

Benefits: Entitled to all benefits etc. Doubt there will be much chance of pay review cuz they stretched their budget... =/

Working hours: Long but during interview, manager said something bout being flexible...

Boss: Looks fierce when not smiling but pretty chatty during interview

Colleagues: Under the boss, there's a few ppl from CS... So I might be the only Mktg Exe... More work?

Prospects: Can move on to other brands but definitely don't expect good money...

It's retail afterall...

Haven't been blogging... Yes... too many things on hand (at work too!) which is always a good thing, I believe!

One of the most interesting thing that's happening is my trip to the land of the rising sun in just about 3 days time! Woohoo...

Everything happened so fast (in less than 2wks?)... Too fast in fact...

Such a hasty decision is leaving me with a sense of insecurity and I'm definitely not confident enough to brave Japan's numerous railways and subways on my own (Ok... not exactly alone, with my sister actually... but she's too busy to really read up... so I've been feeding her with most of the info =/)

Been intensively reading up on the lovely nation...

Nothing's been packed yet! In fact, I still don't know if I have any suitcase =/

Speaking of pay, it's less than 10 days to salary day and I'm really pleased!
My pockets are really drained with a majority going to the stupid school fees...

I envy the ppl around me who dun have to worry a bit bout paying the hefty fees... even my own bro who didn't have to worry about his last time...

I can totally understand the feeling about getting all desperate during the week before pay day...

Actually, I'm really spendthrift for someone with a few thousands worth of debts...
So my boy, be warned...

Really hope they will do something to my pathetic pay and hopefully, I will get the bonus which will certainly tide me over for some time...

What's more, I've got plans for driving lessons and braces!!

I've always believed when one's really desperate, he/she will do something to get himself/herself out of that dire situation in ways which one will nv think he/she could do in normal circumstances. And that, includes having a financial crisis...

I've done that and I believe I will find ways to do that again! :)

At least I got to see him both yesterday (took care of him on my off day) and today (came over with maid to help out with grandma's death anni)!

Was fun to have him brighten up our days!

I would have to agree with Naughty Boy that seeing baby D sleep is such a comfy feeling...
They (babies) seem so innocent and carefree unlike us where sleep is purely to energise ourselves for the "battles" at work/school the next day.

Maybe all they dream of are themselves in the cartoon world, all nice and colourful.

Had a free ride to work yesterday from Uncle Beng and was greeted with quite a commotion on a Saturday in Mediacorp!

Not that I've been working for many weekends...

In fact, It's been about a month or so since I went back on a Sat... (with all the chalets and gatherings...)

Chanced on Felicia Chin's blog the night before and was reading about how she's taking part in the dunking game for Mediacorp's Family Carnival...
Sure enough, I saw her on the dunking board the moment I stepped into the always-closed-TV gates
Didn't managed to check out the carnival before work as I was in a rush...

So I went down with the crews in our 30 15 minutes break...
For once, it was a feat to spend $15 (coupon money) in 15 minutes...
I just grabbed anything I could for last few minutes...
Nearly couldn't make it in time for the bulletin...
Thank goodness for kind Ismail who helped me print... =)

Would have to agree with the other APs that this carnival was quite hastily put up although I seriously wasn't expecting much from them...

The goodie bag could have been better (just don't give us nearly expired biscuits! *roll eyes*)

But then again, the bottle of cheapo mineral water doesn't help...

It's the long awaited shopping day!
Ah Ju and I combed Bugis and bought a bag each and tops :)

Went to Bugis and proceeded to Beppu for ramen~
Kept laughing all the way cuz our paper steamboat kept "chut che-ing"

First, it dripped soup into the heating gel and the waiter had to replace a new one for us...
Then, the paper caught fire after we drink quite some amount of the soup and they had to change it for us...

We were worried the fire detector would "sprinkle" water on us...
In the end, we got a complimentary paper pot with more ingredients and a cup of yoghurt ice cream
But we were too full so we just conquered the desert and went off to Orchard for more shopping

Not exactly a terrific day cuz had minor hiccups but overall it's still great to spend time with nauti boy :P

This is the day my com retired but thanks darling for helping me solve my problems and ordering the new com for me :)

Day 4 - Wednesday

The day I dreaded - going back to work after a 3 days break :(

Anyway, it's finally over and I'm looking forward to Saturday.

Managed to squeeze some time out today after changing shift with Joce... :)

Went to bai bai with sis and mok and he got summon for speeding poor thing... Had breakfast with them and...

proceeded to Bugis area for my health check...
And they drew 2 bottles of blood from me! I didn't catch the reason of them doing so... but nvm...

I'm fit so approve my leaves and MCs now! Heh!

Went off to Bugis Street for a walk...

Bought a dress (which I didn't wanna buy cuz it's ex but still got it in the end cuz of the salegirl's pleading and the fact that she gave me quite some amount of discount :P Got dress for CNY!~), a top, a pair of sandals...

Total damage today inclusive of food: $100 *faints*

Nearly 1 tenth of my pay... *Collapse*

I'm officially broke for the month after paying for sch fees, mum's pocket money, Naughty's savings and whatever that I used in...

just 3 days into the new month!!!!
