Met up with Mei, Ah Sha, Ah Xi, Ah Beh @ Marina Sq - Kenny Rogers.

Been some time since I last ate there...

Cdians celebrated my 2* birthday at Marina Sq!

I shall just put 2* for the future birthdays to come... Hur hur...

It was a celebration at Marina Sq... Coincidentally, the mall Chummies celebrated at too!

Haven't met them for some time and we actually had the gathering in the afternoon...

Definitely haven't spent so much time together since ages... =P

Settled at Pasta De Waraku but unfortunately, it wasn't to our expectation...

Price was too high for the quantity of pasta...

Everyone was shocked at the pathetic portion...

Our April babies had their birthday celebration at Central.
I like the way how birthdays are planned now...
Cuz we are taking turns! :)

Well, IZ and Yik did a pretty good job in planning for this though it's weird that Yik had a part in organising his own birthday gathering. Lol

Settled at Manhattan Fish Market after my long day at Suntec Mobile Anni Roadshow...
Though there wasn't much to do =/
And I know I looked damn tired...
*yawns*

Thank goodness for naughty boy who came over to fetch me :)

Had 3 huge plates of fatty food...
All the fried seafood!
Was yummy though...

Bah~ Sinful food usually taste good... LOL

Plus, the service there was pretty good, at least the staff was courteous.

Macaroons are sure getting popular around here...
I must say, they look so delectable and interesting but taste wise, I will gladly choose my chocolate or cheesecakes anytime. :)

Not that Macaroons dont taste good, they are just a tad too sweet for my liking :P

Interesting, nice place to hang out and watch ppl dance along with the music but definitely not my cup of tea.

No doubt, a place that I don't mind visiting once in a while to do some people watching or just simply, to hang out late. :D

Finally caught up with Ah ju after a long long time!

Now that my working hrs are 9-6, I don't have much time to shop/tai-tai with her =(

Nevertheless, having dinner together feels just as good, as always =D

And of course! How can I forget...

Back to the dinner, joined by Gwee and Santy as well... *yay!* =)

We decided on Sushi Tei @ Holland V and it was not a bad pick...

Especially love the ambience (2nd floor)

Garlic rice was not fantastic... =/ I miss Sakae's...

The fried salmon with cheese made us "wow" aloud especially when the cheese oozed out of the cutlet upon slicing...

However, the cheese, though melted, was a tad too cold...

It is suppose to be warm and erm... thick and cheesy!

Lol

Anyway, the above pic is not all that we ordered!

We had that sushi dragon (or worm, catepillar =/) thingy, handrolls etc etc...

*burps*

Chatted while feasting on the dishes about how their confrontation with "her" went...

Pretty interesting with the analysis on the possibility of Ju and her...

JR's not gonna be happy... LOL

Glad to have caught up with them before they get hurled into their sea of books.

Was looking forward to the weekends (after a few depressing days at work)!

Thank goodness Ling managed to join us despite her having to mug for her tests and projects...

Otherwise, like what Kang said, we can't try more variety at Shokudo!

Met them in town cuz I needed to get my photos printed (a huge stack of 200 pieces)

We then walked from Far East to PS (to get Kang's manga) and realised that in Ling's eyes...

Kang and I were worth only 5% each...

*hurt*

Ok... On to Shokudo...

The Japanese food bazaar was a place much raved about in magazines, online forums etc etc..

So we had to try!!

Shokudo is very Marche-like...

Well, the concept, that is.

Something random: We didn't take neoprints!!! >_<

Ok, they had these neoprint machines inside which made the place more "Ha Re"

There was a long queue even before entering but thank god we didn't have to wait long since the queue moved fast.

The 3 of us sat for awhile and then quickly scrambled to find food!

So exciting! =)

We had...

Omu Rice with grilled chicken (chix was a little dry, the eggs were a little wet and runny, some might think the rice is too mushy but I like!)

Crabstick omelette (was good but it was quite scary looking at the amount of oil they used)

This pasta soup dish (I forgot it's name) Was a little spicy because of the chilli pepper. Pasta had a good texture, was springy!

I've always wanted to try those grilled onigiri (fan tuan) but it doesn't taste that good and definitely wasn't what I expected...

It was just plain and salty...

=/

Gyoza wasn't fantastic...

Red Bean, mochi with green tea ice cream, Apple vinegar, Yuzu Honey Tea

I actually like the green tea ice cream (one of my favourite ice-cream flavour) which Kang thought had too much milk in it...

Yay! So I probably ate a few more mouthfuls for that reason =)

We left our table to get food for umpteen times!

Ok, maybe just around 4 times...

It's either

1) the food was not filling enough

2) we were "gian" to try more stuff

3) we can't see the amount of money we chalked up in the card

We could have left without the last round if not for Kang's approval... (LOL, sounds like our mummy)

So, ya, I had to give up my J Co donuts for Garlic rice (Sakae has better ones), Teppanyaki bean and vege sprouts though we initially agreed to try both... =X

Ok, I shall be gratefully that I didn't take in those extra donut calories =)

Fun, fun!

Was great hanging out and catching up with them, takes my mind away from work which was something I really needed to do... =)

Had a good chat after dinner as well and I discovered that Rats can swim!!!

OMG...

Quite disgusting la.. Cuz ya, they are pests!

I freaked out a few times when I heard them (it was a whole bunch of them!!) squeaking (was near the esplanade & Spore River by the way)

And Kang had to imitate the squeaks and I swear I thought those were real... -_-"'

That's why I accidentally gave the poor girl a scratch on her elbow or arm...
