The Story of 4 Aunties in Hong Kong Part 4
(Day Two - Mongkok)

Itinerary for 23 May 06
Proceeded to Mongkok
Fa Yuen Street
Back to Hotel to unload
Argyle Centre
Ladies Market
Home Suite Home

Woke up and proceeded to Mongkok!
This is the day of shopping non-stop! Wahahah
Had our breakfast at the Hai Jing Cha Chan Ting
Had great you tiao there (Check out the food special)
Went to Fa Yuen Street to start off our shopping!
We walked so much that our legs hurt!
We forgot about lunch (Just had some snacks) and shopped till we were loaded with plastic bags

If each one of us was a balloon...
We went to Mongkok unflated and by afternoon, we were as big as a hot air balloon...
Not our size lah, is us and our shopping bags...

I carried a backpack to load my buys in it but I still had to go back with my hands fulls (from the palms to the arms) and with some items still in my mind (buying on the 4th day)...

We had so much things that we had to go back to the hotel to unload, settle our accounts and then proceed back to Mongkok... Yes, that serious!

Shopping was fantastic cuz the prices were WOW!
Can bargain also! *thumbs*

Clothes can be priced as low as HKD15 (S$3)!
Shoes were less than S$20!
Bags can be bought at $10+ only!
How can we resist? and ya, we went out of control :P

Our legs were so tired by the time we reached the hotel, so we sat down to do accounts, unpack some stuff and then, off again to Mongkok! Wahaha

Went to Argyle Centre and got a little more stuff.. Hee! Cannot resist lah!
It was quite late when we reached there so the shops were closing already...

Next stop, ladies market...

This is Nu Ren Jie (Ladies Market)

The stuff were more expensive so I just managed to get a make-up box for HKD75...
Bargained from HKD100, the aunty looks fierce sia but they were closing already so she gave me that price...
Looking at the way the had to set up the stalls and display their goods, they really worked very hard...
They even had to set up the tents! Not just tables etc...
When we were leaving, we saw these people pulling down the huge tents while packing their goods... Just imagine having to do so everyday...

Photos time... Enjoy
Not much photos for Day 2 cuz we were just too busy shopping! Wahahaha

The typical night market streets in Hong Kong with their dirty-water-dripping-competing-with-each-other-to-catch-your attention-neon-lighted-signboards...

Didn't know Hongkongers like to name their streets after vegetables...
Xi Yang Cai Street...
They probably have Kai Lan Jie (Kailan St) or Jin Gua Lu (Pumpkin Road)

This is Meow... I mean Miao Jie (Temple Street)

Located just behind our hotel, nothing much there though
Just like Singapore's Pasar Malam...
It's quite Fu Zha there too, we saw a lady who was so drunk that she can't even walk straight, going to collapse anytime...
and on the first night after our Claypot Rice, we saw this youngster who looked like he was on drug...
I thought he was drunk but gwee said he's probably on drugs... He looks pretty scary....
*shivers*

That's all for Day 2 as we lugged our buys back to the hotel...
We must have lost weight on that day man... O_O"'

to be continued...
